Phyllis N. Green is a native Floridian and was educated in the public school system of Pinellas County. She furthered her education at Bethune-Cookman College (University) in Daytona Beach, Florida where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She later earned a Master’s Degree at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Counseling Education.

Throughout the years, she has enjoyed working with women and children within the African Methodist Episcopal Church as well as the spouses of ministers in the clergy families’ organization.

Aside from her work in the church, Phyllis Green is a Golden Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, has served as a tutor for elementary school-aged children and is a former member of the Tallahassee Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. She and her husband, John, are the proud parents of one daughter, Courtney, and spend their time working and living between Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
